eLawInsider

Welcome to the September 2015 issue of the eLaw Insider

Now that the summer is over, it is time for the madness to begin. We all know that court scheduling will be as difficult as ever trying to resolve as many cases as possible. While some enjoyed time off during the summer months, eLaw was busy launching a new product many subscribers will find essential to their daily practices: do-it-yourself Management Reports, which are designed to help you better track ever-changing court deadlines and schedules. I will be conducting live demonstrations of the DIY Management Reports at tomorrow’s NYSTLA event in New York. If you are not planning to attend this seminar, feel free to contact me and we can either do a WebEx or I will demonstrate at your office. Recently, eLaw also celebrated our 15th anniversary, and once again we’ve been recognized by the New York Law Journal readers as the “Best Docketing and Calendaring Software.” All in all, a great summer for eLaw!

eLaw Calendar Solutions – Never Miss An Appearance!

Busy attorneys know that an up-to-date calendar can be the lifeblood of a successful practice. Deadlines and appearances are scheduled and changed on a regular basis, and missing one can be costly. eLaw offers five calendar solutions to meet a variety of needs and help ensure you never miss an appearance:

eCalendar – all eWatch subscribers have access to their own eCalendar, eLaw’s Web-based calendar that automatically syncs all future appearances. While notes about the case or attachments cannot be inserted, eCalendar is always up-to-date with the latest schedule changes or new appearances to ensure nothing is missed.

eWatch subscribers also have the option to upgrade, free of charge, to eLaw’s Calendar Sync. This feature automatically syncs all future appearances in one of the following calendar options based on the needs of each firm:• Microsoft® Outlook® – allowing for the insertion of notes and attachments by the law firm, eLaw automatically updates future appearances in the user’s Outlook calendar. A non-editable Google Calendar placed as an overlay into Outlook is also available.
• Existing Google Calendar created and managed by an individual at the law firm – allowing for the insertion of notes and attachments by the user, eLaw automatically updates future appearances in the user’s Google calendar.
New Google Calendar created and managed by eLaw – eLaw automatically updates future appearances in the Google Calendar. This is a non-editable Google Calendar by the user.

• eDocket’s iCal – eDocket subscribers can use the iCal* feature and manually import appearances directly into their Microsoft Outlook. Users can insert notes and attachments just as with other Outlook entries.

Contact Dominick Esposito at Dominick@eLaw.com to determine which calendar suits your law firm’s needs or for instructions on how to sync your calendar.
